China International Baccalaureate School Association is jointly initiated by 11 IB World Member Schools/Education Groups in IB Greater China. After formal registration, it was officially approved by IB on January 12, 2021, and became the Greater China region (including Mainland China and Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) The officially recognized IB Association, and also became a member of the World IB School Association (IBWSA).

According to CISA's charter, the Association will devote itself to the research on the localization of IB education and teaching in the future, actively promote IB education achievements and experiences, and promote exchanges and cooperation between member schools.
